⭐⭐⭐ (3.5 Stars)

3.5 but rounded down. I’ve switched to watching the show on Apple TV. It’s pretty well done and seems to be relatively faithful to the books, enough so for that to be enough for me I think. This is a fun concept, but I’m not loving the novella approach. I would much rather get a fully formed story arc over 400-500 pages than little stand alone jaunts through the characters’ journeys.

If I had nothing else to read, I would for sure keep reading. The dramatized audio on Hoopla is the way to go. But generally I’m looking for more depth and substance in the books I read, so this just might not be my thing.

I’ll keep the series in the back of my mind for when I want something light and quick as a palette cleanser.
