This is a whimsical dreamscape of a book—the world depicted in Water Moon is gorgeous and complex. For how much whimsy and silliness this book had, it also contained so much depth. The conversation on choices and regrets and the ways in which they shape your being was done masterfully.
Emily Henry strikes again! We all loooved this book. A book about books?? How could you not?
4.75 Stars! I really enjoyed this book from start to finish—it followed a similar structure to Phantasma (i.e. rounds of games and trials), but definitely still felt unique. And it was chalk full of my favorite tropes: Enemies to lovers, forced proximity, games and trials, he falls first, lost memories and bargains with a devil. 👌
Emily gave this 4.25 stars and Libby gave this 4.5 stars, but we felt like the book deserves the full 5-star rating at least visually because it really is so good.
This book brings together all the characters that Sanderson worked so hard to build in book 1. These books are huge, but I have never, not once, been bored or wished I could skip over a chapter.
All three of us have a lot to say about this one (obvi — it was one of the most anticipated books of 2025!). The reviews ahead have SPOLIERS, so don't click that "read more" button unless you've already finished.
4.25 Stars! Overall this is an easy, fun read with great spice. It definitely hit all the right notes for me, and I still think about it every now and then even months later. **SPOILER ALERT** Don't click to read the full review unless you've already read the book.
It’s hard for me to rate the first book in a multiple 1000 page book series 5 stars, but this comes close! This is my first Sanderson read, and I understand why so many fantasy lovers love his stories.
This book seriously came out of nowhere and I AM HERE FOR IT.

4.5 stars! This duology wraps up everything with a perfect little bow. I’m deducting .5 stars for predictability, but I definitely was pleasantly surprised with a few things I did not see coming in this one.
5 stars for a Young Adult novel. I flip flop between 4 and 4.5 stars for me.
This book was one of my free Amazon picks reads of the month. It was described as a book with a MFC similar to the witty and lovable Loreli Gilmore. A nice story, but wish there was more substance.
3.75 stars rounded up. Slight spoliers ahead, so read at your own risk!
2.5 stars rounded up…I found myself wincing at the writing in this one too many times. While there are great overall concepts in this book, I felt like the overall storytelling execution left a lot to be desired.
